| An alternate ASSMONSTER is being prepared - Friday, October 26, 2007 In post-production right now, Bill Zebub is making an alternate version of ASSMONSTER and it will tentatively be called "B-MOVE: The Comedy of Horror."
Bill Zebub explains: "I don't want to burn the devoted fans who are completists and relish collecting every morsel that I release, so I am going to use totally different footage wherever possible, and some scenes will be extended while others are cut a bit short. The reason for the new version was initially just an "also known as" cut for people who were turned off by the name "Assmonster" but I also wanted to make a cut that was marketed for its "Do-It-Yourself" spoof instead of the sexploitation-spoof angle. I'll also choose never-before seen bloopers to make this a "must have" even for people who thoroughly enjoyed ASSMONSTER."

| THEGRIMOIRE.com launches! - Sunday, April 22, 2007 After having spent a lot of time re-vamping the site, it was decided to launch the new version of this site a bit before it actually gets finished. There are a ton of interviews, pictures, MP3's, streaming video, and products that have yet to be added. Even so, this teaser should keep you occupied for a while.
If you want to view (non-nude) pictures of Grimoire Girls, enjoy trailers from Bill Zebub movies, and post comments to articles or post stuff in the forums, you have to register. Registering is free.
Premium subscribers get to see a larger variety of Grimoire Girl photos, and many of these photos are nude. Premium subscribers also get to see a lot of other pictures, like stills that were taken during movie shoots. Premium subscribers are also entitled to audio and video content on the site. As of this writing, the audio and video content is still being prepared but it will be added very often until there is more stuff than you can possibly handle.
After we take care of our premium subscribers we will offer a lot of downloadable content on the site store. You will be able to buy MP# files of interviews, as well as exclusive MP3 content like Bill Zebub's various death metal bands, or his more absurd "Painful Meow" project.
One of the things that you should be excited about is the video on demand that will soon be completed. There are many sites that currently offer Bill Zebub movies for download. This site will make sure that not only will you be able to download a complete DVD, you also have many choices as to your preferred quality level or format. For example, you can opt for the highest quality DVD or you may prefer to obtain the movie in the DIVX format.
Hopefully you will agree that it was a good idea to launch this re-vamped site now and let you start enjoying the rich content, rather than waiting a few more weeks for the additional goodies to be added. After this site is fully contructed, www.billzebub.com will go through similar improvements.

| Spooked Screening is a Success! - Friday, April 20, 2007 Bill Zebub states. "I was nervous about the screening for a number of reasons. First, it's a new place so I didn't know how the natives would react. Second, this is the most brutal racial humor I have ever played around with. Some members of the crowd were non-white so I had to process with them when they were about to see. They were very polite and quite excited about watching something new"
"To my amazement the crowd laughed at every single bit of humor. While the movie was playing people were coming up to me to tell me how much their stomachs hurt from laughing so hard. It became obvious to me that I had filmed a hit. When it was over, the nonwhites expressed their enjoyment."
"This was a good test. The crowd was diverse. I just have to figure out how to market it."
"Among the notable guests were director JT Petty (Mimic 3), Fanogoria editor Mike Gingold, Alan Tecchio from Steppin' Out, and Ed Bowkley from Chiller Theatre."
"It looks like I will hold the next screening party at the Loop Lounge again."
|
|
| Bill Zebub's "Spooked" to play at the Loop Lounge - Monday, April 09, 2007 Bill Zebub's new movie. "Spooked" will screen at the Loop Lounge (www.thelooplounge.com) on April 19th at 9:30 pm.
This movie is the most brutal of the comedies, pushing further into taboo territory than "Stereotypes Don't Just Disappear Into Thin Air." In fact, the movie was inspired by fan requests to perpetuate the "Kapeesh" character.
"I chose to show this one at the Loop Lounge because I wanted to see what the reactions would be in a club that catered more to the college crowd. There was one other club that I considered approaching, but they attract a frat-boy crowd, and those people are not the sort to appreciate an indie movie. The Loop Lounge is a better mix, although it is not the sort of place that metalheads really visit. But that's a good thing, because I want to see the movie's effects on people who are largely unacquainted with my work. Colleges now, from what I have heard, have mandatory teaching of the multiculturalist agenda, If that is true, then this experimental movie will produce very interesting results. If people are brainwashed then they will be revolted. But if they have good comprehension then they should be able to perceive the humor. We'll soon know the verdict."

| Assmonster plays at the Cinema Wasteland Horror convention - Sunday, April 08, 2007 Bill Zebub's comedy about the making of a horror movie, titled "Assmonster" played at the Cinema Wasteland horror convention in Ohio (www.cinemawasteland.com). It was interesting to see how different the reaction was between the Ohio viewing and the New Jersey viewing.
The people in Ohio laughed a lot more at the subtle points, which either means that Ohio denizens have a higher comprehension, or perhaps they understand more of the nuances because they are actually involved in the scene, whether by making movies themselves or by knowing people who make movies. So the extra appreciation from this particular population may be due to being more acquainted with the subject matter than the New Jersey viewing (which was a general audience). It's good to see that the humor is appreciated on several levels.
Viewers were very vocal about their enjoyment and made sure to express their opinions personally. Thsi showed that Assmonster may very well be the flagship movie of the Bill Zebub line - you can watch this movie without having to look over your shoulder, heh heh.

| New Website. - Thursday, March 22, 2007 The printed version of the magazine is still in undetermined fate. As you may have heard, Tower Records is no more, and that chain was the biggest distributor that did not complain about the style of the magazine. To enter other chains, the Grimoire printed magazine cannot contain graphic pictures. Such is life in the newstand lane. Currently there are several options being explored. There is some demand for the magazine to return to the newsprint format instead if the ultra high quality glossy color pages. The fans who prefer this form of printed matter are not just asking for the return to the old ways because the magazine was free (where available) - they really miss the experience of waking up the day after a concert and finding a rolled up Grimoire in their pocket. There is also an option of making a tabloid version. No, that doens't mean that there will be articles about how aliens are impregnating lead singers of bands. The term "tabloid" refers to the kind of printing, not the kind of content. A tabloid format is the cheapest, not only because it uses newsprint paper but also because there is no cutting cost or bindery cost. However, there are fans who feel that going back to newsprint is a step down.
You may have heard bands and record companies complaining about douche bags who share MP3's or who burn CD's instead of buying them. That kind of musical treason has consequences that trickle down. When a record label loses money, it has to cut certain budgets. This can mean the death of a band, or a band getting less money for studio time, and that would mean a drastic reduction in quality. But it also means that budgets for advertising also get cut. That is why a lot of magazines die. If you did not know, a magazine's life blood is the money that it gets from advetisers. When you see an advertisement for an album, it's not a magazine editor showing support for the album - it is a page that has been purchased by a record label. The record label paid someone to design the ad. When the Grimorie was a free publication (free where available) it was able to thrive because of the plentiful advertisers. but unlike other magazines, a record lable did not buy our opinions when it paid for an ad. Next time you read a magazine and find yourself looking at a glowing review of an album, thumb through the pages and you will most likely see a full color full page ad (the most expensive type of ad). When you see this you are most likely reading a fake opinion.
Fortunately I am able to adapt to various changes and can usually come up with creative solutions. However, there are people out there who have been forced to quit, and that affects me as a fan. The next time you complain about the metal scene dying, ask yourself if you stabbed it in the back by stealing music. Opps. Sorry about sounding like a preacher. We all know that when people shared tapes of bands in the past it was very good for the scene. But it seems that there was a different mentality. Tapes were traded to get people interested in new music, and if the music were appreciated, the fan went out and bought a real copy. I am proud to say that all of my metal friends own real CD's, but I have overheard people (younger people) very casually talk about burning CD's, and it seems like their collections mostly consist of CDR's. I just hope that if you are a person like this, you would at least go to metal shows and buy Tshirts there. If you don't support a band by buying a CD, at least buy some kind of merchandise. Help to keep our music thriving.
